Competency in Medical Aesthetics

The Ministry of Health, through its regulations, has granted the authority to perform procedures in the field of medical aesthetics to only three groups: dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and physicians who hold a medical aesthetics certificate. We believe that limiting this authority to only these three groups is not sufficient, and we expect that a broader regulation will be introduced through new training programs for physicians working in this field. We also believe that the medical aesthetics certification program will be reopened in the future.
As MESTDER, our goal with the training programs we offer is not to provide a medical aesthetics certificate or a formal qualification, but rather to enhance a physician’s medical knowledge and experience, thereby strengthening their professional capabilities.
It is not enough for our fellow physicians to simply attend courses and congresses to obtain a certificate. The most essential training in this field is cadaver training. Physicians must also keep up with technological advancements in health and aesthetics to continue developing themselves. When support is needed, our association can guide you through basic, intermediate, and advanced training programs.
Mastering anatomy, participating in workshops, and completing the training programs recommended by our association will significantly improve the medical knowledge of physicians working in this field.
