What is Medical Aesthetics?

Medical aesthetics refers to the entirety of medical procedures performed to improve our current physical appearance. These procedures not only enhance our external look but also contribute positively to our psychological well-being.
These non-surgical treatments cover a wide range of areas—from preventing hair loss to facial rejuvenation, wrinkle reduction to skin tightening, treatment of spots and scars to the application of fillers and Botox, and even weight loss, cellulite treatment, and removal of unwanted hair.
Medical aesthetic procedures can only be performed by physicians.
These procedures can be carried out in doctors’ offices, clinics, medical centers, and hospitals. Under no circumstances can they be performed in beauty salons. Even if a doctor performs the procedure in a salon, it is not considered a medical procedure.
