Counterfeit Products

Counterfeit products pose serious problems not only in our country but worldwide. In Türkiye, medical supplies must be obtained from licensed pharmaceutical warehouses and pharmacies. Products sourced outside of these channels are considered illegal and should be recognized as such. It is evident that the side effects of these unauthorized products are unpredictable and potentially dangerous.
Performing medical procedures is strictly within the authority of licensed physicians. Procedures involving injections under the skin—such as Botox and dermal fillers—are legally permitted only for doctors. It is a criminal offense for non-doctors to perform such injections, and this carries serious legal consequences.
Medical procedures must be performed in authorized settings such as doctors’ offices, clinics, medical centers, and hospitals. It is illegal for a physician to operate in unauthorized places like beauty salons. Such practices fall under what is commonly referred to as “underground” or unlicensed operations. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that procedures are carried out in licensed medical centers by certified professionals.
Our association is actively fighting against counterfeit and underground products. We have established a reporting hotline and, through our legal counsel, we forward these complaints to the relevant authorities.
